About this campaign
The Biddle Endowed Scholarship honors JCSU’s original seedfunder, Union Widow, Mary Deborah Baird Biddle. In 1867 she answered the call to educate the formerly enslaved in memory of her husband, Henry Jonathan Biddle, who was killed in the Civil War. The primary benefactors of her vision are the generations of students who have graduated from Biddle Memorial, now Johnson C. Smith. Contributions to the Biddle Endowed Scholarship Fund provides much needed financial aid to scholarship recipients.
Join us in contributing to today’s students who depend on your financial support to graduate and become global change agents.
